There are so many damaging philosophies/belief systems in the world today, that do tremendous harm to the people that buy into them. They help blind people to reality and keep them entangled in the destructive traps of the world and satan. They skew peoples views and cause them to think incorrectly on a wide variety of subjects. Most importantly God, Jesus Christ, His Holy Word, and eternity. What better way to ensure that people remain on the path to hell, than to cloud their vision and blind them to reality.
So, with that said, I created a "top" 10 lies that are prevalent in today's society. I tried to put them in order of what I feel is most damaging, but depending on your knowledge of the subjects, you may feel one is worse than another. That's fine. They are ALL severely misleading and destructive. Here they are:
10. Global Warming.
It's not so much the belief that the earth is warming, but the belief that we are responsible for it. It's buying into the corporate/fascist rulers of this world's plan, to turn carbon into an evil entity that needs to be taxed and reduced. This will effect the way ALL of us live. This lie also fails to realize that God is sovereign over the weather. We are NOT going to destroy the world. God has a predetermined end game for this earth, and it's not human caused destruction. It's Divine judgment.

9. The Universe is Billions of Years Old
This belief dominates the world. Why is it dangerous? It IMMEDIATELY discredits the Biblical account of creation. It spits in the face of the Bible and says that God's Word cannot be trusted. When one looks beyond the media accounts of supposed "science," the REAL science shows no evidence of an old universe. Rather it shows that the universe is YOUNG and fits the Biblical model perfectly.

8. The Belief that Government is good/for you.
Many people have this false idea of patriotism. They think that blind allegiance to the country is what patriotism is. Regardless of whether what our government does is moral or right, we are just supposed to fall in line and support them. This is NOT what patriotism is. Patriotism is not blind allegiance to the government. It's allegiance to the constitution and the freedoms it guarantees. When our government acts against those freedoms, a patriot OPPOSES that government. It doesn't blindly follow along.
Our government fell out of line long ago. We no longer have a constitutional republic. No, we have an oligarchy controlled by corporate/fascist ideology, that hides behind a politically correct socialistic pseudo-democracy. In plain english? The rich run the show based on idea's of power and greed. And they feed the masses a "everybody get along" type passivity, with an illusion of freedom. Offering us managing parties that on the surface appear to be in opposition, but at the root serve the same rich and greedy masters. Until people wake up to this fact, we will continue down a path of servitude where more and more freedoms are stripped away, and more and more of our paychecks are taken for "services" that we neither need or receive.

7. Political Correctness.
What I mean by this is not that people shouldn't get along and shouldn't be civil to each other. No, what I mean is that somehow speaking truth has become hate speech. If one chooses to speak against immorality, he/she is considered a bigot and a hate monger. When the exact opposite is true.
It is NOT hate to warn someone of impending judgment and doom. It is concern and love. If a person knows the laws and the punishments due for breaking the laws, it is their job to caution someone who is breaking that law. It is not hateful to warn someone of the wrath of God. YOU CANNOT SIN AND GET AWAY WITH IT! God is all-knowing and has written His law on all of our hearts. WE KNOW right from wrong. And His Word clarifies it. So to warn you when you break His law is the most passionate and loving thing a person can do. Especially when knowing the kind of treatment they will receive for speaking up.
Ezekiel 3:18 "When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand."
Proverbs 24:11-12 "If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?"
6. Atheism
One would assume that not believing in God would be number one on this list. And while it is true that denial of the Creator is the most destructive lie, it isn't as common and that is why it's not higher on this list. Most people believe in God. But most people believe in the wrong God. That's why you'll find that lie higher on this list.
As for atheism, it is a lie that is unique. Because the person that claims to not believe, KNOWS in their heart that there is a God. They have deceived themselves. They have blinded themselves in an attempt to not face reality. It is a fate most sad.
Psalms 14:1 "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."
Romans 1:18-21 "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."
5. That You Have More Time...And a Disbelief in Biblical Accuracy
I divided this one into two, because after I came up with the idea for 10 lies, I realized I had 11. First is the idea people have, that they have more time. That somehow their death is going to be prolonged into some future date. Nobody really excepts for the day of their death to be the actual day they die. They always assume that they have more time.
But the reality is, your day is coming. Most of the time it is swift, sudden, and unexpected. Most people are not prepared for it. Approximately 150,000 people die every day. That's 6250 people gone EVERY HOUR! 104 every minute. Almost 2 people per second. Dozens of people around the world died while I typed this sentence. And your day IS COMING! You can't avoid it. Your odds of dying this year are 1 in 117 (not sure of the source, I just remember reading this).
The bottom line is, you don't have more time. Your are not in control of your future. Your days are numbered with an unknown number. Any moment could be your last. And if you are not born again, you are in a VERY dire situation. YOU WILL FACE GOD with sins to answer for. TODAY is the day of salvation!

2nd Corinthians 6:2 "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)"
And on to the second part of number 5, the accuracy of the Bible. Many people doubt the Bible. Arguments are made that It is an antiquated book. That things were lost in translation or copy. That it is a Book of morality tales, simply made to keep people from anarchy. But the bottom line is that these arguments are wrong.
The Bible is the Word of God. Spoken directly from God, through men, and onto paper. GOD took it upon Himself to ensure that His Words were preserved for all eternity. HE kept them from error and mistakes. HE preserved them for us. And the fact that they prove themselves supernaturally clearly show that they are MUCH MORE than man-made morality rules. Much more than clever stories and myths. No, the are the authentic and authoritative, supernatural, LIVING and BREATHING, Words of God.
Psalms 12:6-7 “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”
Psalms 119:89 “For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.”
Proverbs 30:5-6 “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”
Deuteronomy 4:2 “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”
Revelation 22:18-19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
2nd Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

4. False Religions.
Because people are born with an intuitive knowledge of the Creator, man is without excuse. But because man hates God, they create their own ideas of who the Creator is. The Bible calls this idolatry. It is a sin most wicked.
The sad thing is, if a person were to truly seek God, they would find Him. But people don't want God. They want a "god" that fits their own ideas of what is acceptable and what isn't. And so they invent "gods" of their own wicked imaginations. And BILLIONS of people fall into this trap.
Whether it's allah, buddah, krishna, or any variation of mystical deities, or even a false idea of Jesus Christ Himself, man is going to be held accountable for his idolatry. There is only One God. Creator, Jehova. And appeared to mankind as Jesus Christ. To HIM ALONE belongs all glory and honor and praise!

3. Self Righteousness.
This is a most destructive lie. Most people assume that they are good enough to get to Heaven. That somehow, their good deeds outweigh their bad, and that this qualifies them for eternal life. This idea is false on two fronts.
One, it assumes that good deeds will be weighed against bad. Like two buckets set on a scale, and if the good bucket weighs more in the end, you'll be save. But that is not how justice works.
In a court of law, a criminal cannot introduce his/her good deeds and expect that to somehow counteract the crimes he/she is charged with. No, the good deeds have no bearing on the crime. Justice requires that that crime be payed for. If you steal, you cannot introduce your kindness, love, and compassion as evidence. It has no bearing. You stole and justice requires punishment. And so it is with God.
On judgment day, the "good" you have done will not come into account. Your CRIMES must be answered for. You've lied, cheated, stole, hated, and dishonored. You've been filled with pride, greed and lust. These crimes MUST be answered for, or we cannot call God just. And He IS just.
And two, this view assumes that you are "good." But what is good? Good is defined by God. And He says that man must be perfect. Holy. Goodness requires absolute obedience to the law. The Bible says that even our "good" deeds are wicked. Why? Because they are done with impure motives. They are self-seeking motives. They are not done for the glory of God. And each and every day, our thoughts and imaginations are filled with wickedness. We lust and crave and desire. We hate and are filled with bitterness and unforgiveness. We are selfish and prideful. We are wicked.
So on judgment day, even if our good was weighed out in consideration, we actually have NO GOOD to offer!! Every action had an impure motive. It was either to further your own agenda, or to make yourself feel good. Our hearts are wicked and filled with sin. Each and every sin must be accounted for. WE WILL NOT ENTER HEAVEN BASED ON OUR OWN EFFORTS!!

2. Relativism
This most insane idea destroys the thinking of many. It's the idea that there is no such thing as absolute truth. Instead, whatever is true for you, might not be true for me. So everyone is left to form their own ideas about what is right and wrong. This is insane.
We live in a world of absolutes. What goes up, must come down. The sun will always rise in the east and set in the west. 2+2 always equals 4. Truth is not a subjective matter. How we RESPOND to truth is objective, but truth remains truth regardless of who is looking at it.
People who believe this will say things like, "all paths lead to Heaven." Or, "We all worship the same God, just with different names." This is not an intellectual thought process. The God of the Bible makes truth claims that cannot be simultaneously true and untrue. They are either correct or false, but not both.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me." NO ONE. That statement is either true or not. One way to Heaven. That claim cannot coexist with an idea that "all paths lead to heaven."

1. Evilution
This makes number one on my list because it has been excepted world wide and is the foundational belief for many, whether they recognize it or not.
Evilution is wrong on so many fronts. It started based on presuppositions opposed to God and the Bible and blindly follows along without evidence, namely because the only alternative is to admit the existence of a Creator.
This belief mocks the Biblical account of Creation, and therefore sets out to destroy Christianity itself. It has NO EVIDENCE what so ever, but is FORCED down the throats of billions through education, politics and media.
